Accounting Manager



The American Library Association seeks an experienced accounting manager for its accounts receivable area.

Develop and maintain strong internal control over cash receipts.

Manage the accounts receivable functions of the Association on a daily basis along with an AR accounting specialist.

Assist with the month-end and year-end close.

Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations monthly and prepare journal entries.

Constantly monitor and analyze guidelines and policies and recommend as well as implement to ensure efficient and effective process.

This role also serves as a back-up to investment reporting and special projects as assigned.

Thorough technical background in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Internal Control.

Bachelor’s degree, major in Accounting. CPA preferred.

Minimum of five to seven years’ experience with supervisory responsibilities.
