This is a full time, exempt position

The Automation / I.T. Superintendent will be responsible for leading the I.T./Automation and PC Support team in both supporting plant staff and improving plant operations. In addition to maintaining current systems, this position will be responsible for driving continuous improvement of process controls and identifying and implementing technology improvements to better support systems/process control and reliability, communication, data collection and retrieval as well as those systems which support the effectiveness of personnel. 

Job Requirements:
  • Mentor and develop team members by providing guidance, training resources and individual development plans for strong cross-dimensional team. 
  • Perform as a team member and leading the planned, preventative, and/or predictive maintenance activities that support the electrical and process control systems of the plant. Communicate job status and support requirements with co-workers and management and effective use of time while completing the assigned tasks.
  • The ability to develop and follow written standards and support process applications based upon those standards. The ideal candidate would have experience with writing and developing standards/control narratives for process control systems or applications.
  • The candidate must be capable of working in extreme temperatures. Must have the ability to climb stairs, lift and move a minimum of 40 pounds, and sit and stand for long periods of time. Should be able to work in confined spaces and heights.
  • Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements.
  • Prior automation and leadership experienced preferred.
  • Available for on-call rotation for off-hours, holiday and weekend coverage.
Preferred Experience/Education:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with process controls preferred
  • Prior experience in an industrial setting with direct supervisory experience preferred
  • A Bachelor’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in the IT field preferred
