Job Description:

CapgeminiAmerica, Inc. has multiple openings for the position of Software Engineer 4based out of its Chicago, IL U.S. headquarters. The employee may also work atvarious unanticipated locations. S/he will perform the following duties:design, develop or maintain the components of the physical application or theapplication environment, based on the Software Architecture (models andprinciples); code/integrate/implement/install or change frameworks and standardcomponents, or technical and functional application management; developlanguages/methods/ frameworks/tools, and/or undertake activities in support ofserver-based databases in development, test and production environments; act asspecialist in enterprise-wide Software Engineering technology, including allits processes, languages, databases, frameworks and tools; participate in theongoing development of SE&A certification programs and lead briefings ortraining sessions; responsible for the management and direction of multipleprojects or a single, large, and complex project; responsible for delivering ondefined revenue targets within a particular industry or service area; initiateand maintain client relationships; share practice management and administrationresponsibilities including the overall management of project teams anddevelopment of staff.


Basic Qualifications:

Thisposition requires a bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in ComputerScience, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Information Systems,Engineering (any) or closely related field plus at least 7 years ofprogressively-responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, oras Programmer/Developer, Systems Analyst, Tester or related IT position. Theapplicant must also have: any period of professional experience working withsoftware application development and integration tools, including IBMMainframe, IBM WebSphere MQ, and AWS; any period of professional experienceusing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and the digital technologies,including Cloud, Mobile and Analytics/Big data; any period of professionalexperience working with SDLC processes such as planning, coding, testing,tracking the project progress, estimation schedule, researching risk managementdocumentation, deployment and maintenance; any period of professionalexperience working with software development methodologies such as Agile andWaterfall; and any period of professional experience managing a team of ITprofessionals.
