Reporting Relationships:
The Learning Technologist will report to a Program Development Manager. The Program Development Manager will report to the Director of Online Learning.

The Learning Technologist assists Instructional Designers and Faculty in building and maintaining online courses. Using tools embedded in Learning Management Systems as well as multimedia production tools and collaboration tools, the technologist implements course designs and revisions, assists with course setup for each term, and helps faculty troubleshoot technical issues. The Learning Technologist will also assist in the development of support resources for faculty and students and explore new technologies relevant to the online classroom.

The Learning Technologist should have strong technical acumen and ideally experience with Learning Management Systems, such as Moodle or Blackboard. Self-direction, attention to detail, and organizational skills are also important, as he or she will track, prioritize, and follow up on multiple projects to ensure course revisions are completed accurately, and that issues are resolved quickly. The Learning Technologist should also have great communication skills, enthusiasm for helping others resolve issues, and a desire to work in a fast-paced team environment.


• Bachelor’s degree and one to three years relevant professional experience
• Attention to detail, commitment to producing quality product
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Project management skills
• Ability to work in a multi-tasking, entrepreneurial environment
• Experience in web development or online learning
