The Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) provides evaluation, direction and application of care and treatment in the homes of clients within the realm of accepted standards of practice for a Registered Professional Nurse as stated in the nurse practice act.
The Per Diem Registered Nurse assesses patients and their needs. They make appropriate suggestions regarding pain and symptom management in order to ensure comfort and quality of life. The Registered Nurse educates and supports patients and families regarding expectations during the end-of-life process and is responsible for reporting any symptom calls and interventions to the primary nurse.
Seeking Per Diem / Registry RNs who can Drive 100% of the time and support primarily the Grayslake Region.
Available Shifts: Must have availability to work weekends.Experience and Skills
- Associate Degree in Nursing
Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois
Valid Driver’s License
Valid Auto Insurance
Current CPR certification
- Ability to demonstrate sound clinical judgement with minimal supervision
Ability to function independently, organize and prioritize
Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and maintain a calming, professional presence in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
Ability to maintain organizational confidentiality, which includes but is not limited to information about patients/families, volunteers, employees, donors and Agency processes
Flexibility to embrace change and effectively shift priorities
Communication skills, verbal and written
Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work weekends
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Minimum of 1-year clinical experience, preferably in an acute care or home health setting
Knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations preferred
