    Technical Author for Auto / Diesel Service Manuals

    Navistar a Fortune 500 company manufactures & sells Class 4- 8 commercial & military trucks, diesel engines, school buses; and provides service parts for trucks & diesel engines worldwide.

    As a member of Navistar’s Publications Group you be part of a team of 25 plus Tech Authors. The team is made up of individuals with Automotive / Truck experience and a high level of passion for all things transportation; cars, trucks, motorcycles, electric, autonomous vehicles.

    As a Technical Author you research technical content from multiple sources on a variety of topics, then organizes the content into a clear and concise format for the customer and service community.

    You will create, develop, plan, write and edit operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publication.

    You will work with other Navistar professionals and conducts interviews with various users and technical staff to gather data for documentation and research and translate technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for nontechnical and technical users.

    Author and publish documents including but not limited to:

    • Warranty Statements
    • Operator and Maintenance Manuals
    • Service Bulletins
    • Tool Instructions
    • Service and Diagnostic Manuals

    Additional Requirements

    Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
