Northrop Grumman Corporation, Land & Avionics C4ISR Division, Rolling Meadows, IL is seeking a Manager of its RF Systems Test Engineering team within its Manufacturing Operations department.
The preferred candidate will have considerable experience with and/or leadership in the design, test and troubleshooting of RF products. Additionally, the preferred candidate will have 3 or more years of experience with applicable management and/or leadership, excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven ability to thrive in a dynamic and technically challenging environment and experience in the development and validation of test capability. Additionally, the preferred candidate will have familiarity with the use of National InstrumentsTM Labview and/or National Instruments LabWindowsTM/CVI test software, Microsoft Project and Earned Value Management.
This Manager position requires that the candidate possess a demonstrable ability to lead his team to strategically plan, bid, develop and maintain test and screening capability/procedures for a diverse set of RF systems and products. Practical experience of 3 or more years in this area is preferred. Additionally, this Manager position requires the ability to prepare and manage test engineering support to the recurring production of the RF products (inclusive of troubleshooting of equipment, hardware and test software) and the assembly and presentation of continuous improvement initiatives for the purpose of minimizing defects, cost and cycle time. Again, practical experience of 3 or more years in this area is preferred. All of this relies upon the Manager's ability to coordinate the test engineering resources in concert with Design Engineering, Mission Assurance, Process Engineering and a host of other organizations as well as the Manager's ability to prepare and present compelling justifications.
The Manager will be responsible to strategically evaluate team skill sets and size to accommodate work forecasts, assess training needs and oversee development of engineers.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or related engineering discipline with 3 years' experience in a management role
Experience presenting complex technical programs and concepts to non-technical personnel and customers
Strong leadership that includes establishing and communicating a strategic vision, goals and priorities as well as empowering and engaging team members.
Strong capability to develop collaborative environment across disciplines
Ability to manage personnel, resources and competing objectives in a dynamic work environment
Ability to create executive review quality presentations
Minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, US Citizenship required
Master of Science degree in Electrical or related engineering discipline
Experienced with National InstrumentsTM Labview and/or National Instruments LabWindowsTM/CVI test software
Experienced with Microsoft Project
Experienced with Earned Value Management
Quality Management training (Six Sigma, etc)
IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things): Familiarity with implementing IIoT digital systems to monitor, record and report on asset & process performance
