Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL DO
We are seeking a strong candidate with experience and passion to fill a Lead Knowledge Analyst role within the Marketing, Sales and Pricing (MSP) Practice, focused on the topic of Next Generation Sales (NGS) and Go-To- Market (Demand Generation, Data-Driven Sales, Digital/Inside Sales, CRM, and Customer Success).
 
The Lead Knowledge Analyst will help build and support BCG's Next Generation Sales commercial topic, and contribute to BCG's broader Digital topic and capabilities.  The professional will play a critical role in collaborating on business building and delivery initiatives with leaders across NGS commercial cadre, BCG Digital Ventures, GAMMA (BCG world-class data scientists and business consultants who specialize in advanced analytics) and other BCG advanced capability teams. 

The Lead Knowledge Analyst will also support the MSP Practice team and NGS leadership by creating written materials that capture NGS knowledge and expertise.  The individual will use an extensive collection of internal and external information resources to gather, filter, synthesize, package and deliver information.   This professional will also work closely with local and international case and proposal teams by providing customized knowledge for client work and potentially providing client facing expertise.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
 
  • Work with the NGS topic team in a supporting and team member role
  • Collaborates and maintains the development of new content through participation in IP development efforts and knowledge infrastructure projects, database, surveys, etc...
  • Develops professional content for go-to-market materials
  • Controls quality and supervises contribution / updates to existing topic knowledge base
  • Promotes innovation at BCG by identifying knowledge capture opportunities
  • Contributes to building the NGS topic and suggests emerging topics based on client demand
 
 
Work with case (and proposal) teams in an expert role
  • Scopes knowledge needs of case teams & liaises with others as relevant to address them
  • Provides customized knowledge for client work, potentially providing client facing expertise
  • Acts as a thought partner, establishes credibility with case teams and provides problem solving and topic expertise insights
  • Captures, codifies & maintains knowledge content for future use
 
Support the building and development of the topic
  • Partners with topic leadership on initiatives to support commercial agenda, leads or executes against them as relevant
  • Plays a cross-functional connecting role with critical contributors to the topic – NGS leaders, BCG Digital and Analytics, GAMMA (BCG world-class data scientists and business consultants who specialize in advanced analytics) and other BCG advanced capability teams.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • 4-5 years industry experience in a Sales Organization (e.g. field or inside sales, or a demand center) or Sales Technology firm (product development/ analytics) , or 2+ years consulting experience in the Sales and GTM topic, ideally in Next Generation Sales.  
  • Deep expertise in the Next Generation Sales topic – including but not limited to demand generation/ lead generation, inside sales, CRM, and customer success.
  • Broad understanding of the sales technology landscape, and the provider ecosystem (e.g. the tech stack that supports and accelerates the sales process)
  • Familiarity with sales data, sales analytics, and sales acceleration tools. (E.g. fluency in KPIs/ metrics, software tools, reporting, CRM)
  • Practical experience in the sales operations function – specifically the areas of training, hiring, capability building, compensation plans
  • Engagement with professional sales associations, thought leadership, influencers -- specifically in the area of advanced technology applications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with high academic achievement; Advanced Degree Preferred
