SUPERVISOR: Golf Course Superintendent
FUNCTION: Serves as Maintenance Associate for the Chevy Chase Country Club. Responsibilities include: maintaining and landscaping the golf course using motorized, electrical or hand equipment and tools, performing general facility maintenance and custodial duties with supervision. Ensures that all support and service is conducted and fulfilled in a manner consistent with the goals and values of CCCC and the Wheeling Park District.
-Some High School, High School Degree is preferred.
-Minimum of six (6) months experience in golf maintenance and custodial building maintenance.
-Knowledge of golf course and custodial building maintenance preferred.
-Must use sound judgment and be able to make decisions and to function effectively under stress and interruptions. Possess good interpersonal skills in order to manage well with a variety of personalities.
-Accountable for the successful completion of assigned tasks.
-Mow fairways, tees, greens and roughs on a scheduled basis.
-Maintain trees and shrubs, to include watering, fertilizing and pruning.
-Using weed eater, trim tree wells, golf course perimeter, eater edges/banks and other boundary-type areas.
-Rakes and cleans sand traps with both motorized or hand equipment.
-Services ball washers, water containers and trash receptacles daily.
-As directed, changes cups and relocates tee markers.
-Maintains the landscape and flower beds around the golf course and clubhouse.
-Assists in the performance of routine and preventative maintenance on scheduled and seasonal basis.
-Assists in the set-up/break-down of all general use areas, to include tables, chairs, audio-visual equipment and sound equipment. Operates audio-visual and sound equipment as required.
-Provides custodial service for the Chevy Chase facility. Custodial tasks include, but are not limited to cleaning floors (vinyl, carpet and wood), windows, lavatories, shower/locker facilities, emptying trash, dusting furniture; cleaning water fountains, cleaning of outdoor furniture, etc.
-Work as scheduled.
-Performs the job safely and in compliance with Park District policies, procedures, work and safety rules.

Schedule varies between weekdays, weekends, and evenings
40 hours a week
RATE OF PAY:
$11.00 - $15.00 an hour DOE
